  • What warranty and records are delivered? Ask for labor and product coverage, claim contacts, photographs, product data, test results, approvals, care instructions, and inspection closeout.

A contractor may reasonably recommend a paid diagnostic visit when the source is still unknown. That is different from presenting a complete pan rebuild as proven. Equally, a recaulking quote is not a sufficient response when isolated testing shows water below the receptor or unsound backing behind the finish. Authorization should follow demonstrated evidence, identify a controlled first opening, and preserve a written stop point for conditions that cannot be priced until exposed.
